Objective:

To identify the size of the UK procurement market.


Approach:

A list of all UK industries and companies were obtained. All companies within each industry was divided up into 3 tiers (top, middle & bottom by turnover). A number of companies within each tier was surveyed to identify the number of procurement professionals. Art of Research then tried to find out if there was any correlation between the number of procurement professionals in every sector and tier and its turnover.


Result:

It was identified that there was no correlation between the number of procurement professionals by tier and its turnover across all the industries.
